a) ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING  deparment at  RKGIT  places strong emphasis on fundamentals, so that the students are introduced to complex subjects in an interesting and easy manner .Electronics and Communication Engineering department provides advanced course in microprocessors, digital hardware design  VLSI design  etc. Educational tours, industrial training and guest lectures on the emerging technologies are organized to make the students aware about the latest in the field  of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

b) APPLIED  ELECTRONICS & INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEERING  plays a vital role in automation necessary for every industry . Some of the key applications are in the areas of Aviation Industry , Satellite and Ballistic missiles , Remote  Sensing  requirements etc. Presently , This course is attached to the department of Electronics  and Communication.
