The Institute provides the merit awards every year to the meritorious students by awarding them cash prizes and certificates on the basis of their academic performance as follows:-

Topper of each Branch Rs 2,5,00/-
Topper of the College Rs 5,000/-
2nd to 10th position at University level Rs 5,000/-
First Position at University level Rs 10,000/-

*These awards are given to the students at the Annual Day Function of the Institute

ACTIVITIES:-The institute not only tries to make its young professionals proficient in the subjects of their course but also inculcates in them a potent blend of academic excellence and finer qualities of human excellence. Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities, both academic and extra curricular, for an all round personality development. Responding to this encouragement and the numerous facilities available , RKGIT students have left a mark in all spheres of activity that they have been involved in. The Activities are generally students driven with active support of faculty members.

  1. LITERARY & CULTURAL ACTIVITIES ---

Literary activities are generally students driven with active support of faculty members.      Debate Competitions, Paper Writing Contests, Story Writing Contests, Kavya Path, Sketching, Cartooning, Drawing, Rangoli, Heena, Flower Arrangement Competitions, etc. are arranged     for the students.

Institute Magazine “UDGAAR”, published annually, expresses the opinions of the young learners      on scientific, technical, literary and aesthetic issues

RKGIT News Letter “ SPANDAN” reports about various activities and achievements of the Institute and its students, faculty and staff.

Every year Cultural evenings like,Fresher’s Party “ECSTASY", Deepawali celebration “DEEPANJALI”, New Year Eve celebration “HANGAMA”, and Annual function “SKY FEST”  takes place where students show their talent and innovativeness.

The institute organizes "Kalawati Memorial Science Talent Award" annually from year 2002. The competition is opened  for students of class XII in the region and aims to expose them to the competitive world and show their inherent talent .

 

During SKY FEST 2005 the institute organized technical fest "JAGRITI" for the first time involving all the technical institutions of national level. Prize worth Rs. 1,00,000/- were awarded to winners.
